'Folk fae da Past' to a Shetlander means just that 'People from the Past'.

In this instance we have chosen four people who have played some part in making history in Heard's area or been part of it.

They were all remarkable folk, who in some way have shaped us and our communities and in other cases have influenced the wider world about our islands.
